Update — NDAA Clears Senate
Share |

On December 8, the U.S. Senate passed the Fiscal Year 2017 Defense Authorization Act by a vote of 92 to 7. The bill, which contains a provision waiving urgent care pre-authorization requirements for TRICARE beneficiaries, now makes its way to the President for his signature. UCAOA was a strong proponent of the urgent care provision and thanks UCAOA members who took action by contacting their members of Congress. President Obama is expected to sign the bill into law.

The text of the conference report for the annual defense policy bill is here.  The urgent care language can be found in Sec. 704.
