The primary business of urgent care is to provide on-demand treatment of non-emergent, acutely-rising injury and illness. However, walk-in patient volume is subject to seasonal, day-of-week and time-of-day variances, which can leave urgent care operators searching for ways to boost revenue and optimize provider and staff productivity during “slow” periods.
Ancillary services are diagnostic and therapeutic solutions that include lab and imaging, aesthetic procedures, medical weight loss programs, pain management, allergy testing and treatment, and medication dispensing, among others.
As a participant in the one-day Adding Ancillary Services course, you will learn how to identify margin-enhancing ancillary services that are complementary to your urgent care center’s operating model and patient demographics. The course will present multiple perspectives on operationalizing services including clinical practice, clinical support, sales/marketing, and billing/contracting. Special emphasis will be placed on developing the financial business case to provide a compelling return on investment (ROI). Attendees will also benefit from a series of deep dives in which urgent care operators share their real-world experiences and learnings adding various services to their centers.
