Course Objectives:                    

At the conclusion of this session, participants should be able to:  

  • Analyze the trends in urgent care acquisitions and divestitures
  • Describe who is buying urgent care centers and what is the motivation?
  • Explain the valuation methodology for urgent care centers
  • Determine how to maximize revenues by Identifying the correct mix of physicians and midlevels and what ancillary services should be offered
  • Determine how to minimizing expenses by using clever ways to cut costs but not impacting the quality of care


 Faculty Bio:

Stuart Neiberg, MAcc, CPA, CFA

Mr. Neiberg is a Director with HealthCare Appraisers and has an extensive background in healthcare business valuation, consulting and financial analysis.  His experience includes valuation of urgent care centers, occupational medicine clinics, surgical and acute care hospitals, physician practices and healthcare systems.  Mr. Neiberg also participates in the valuation of complex securities and intangible assets.  Over the past three years, Mr. Neiberg has provided consulting and valuation services to over 30 urgent care centers across the U.S.  Additionally, Mr. Neiberg routinely drafts the urgent care section of the HealthCare Appraisers Year in Review.  He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), licensed in California, and he holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
