Steven Engelberg, PA-C, PhD - DaVita HealthCare Partners. I am currently in my 19th year of practice in medicine. I graduated PA schools in NY, 2 years later accepted into an emergency medicine residency program in W. Virginia and graduated in 2000. Shortly after residency I enrolled in my PhD program and graduated with my doctorate in health administration in 2008. My dissertation was "The Utilization of Physician Assistants in Emergency Medicine". I have worked in 13 emergency department in 4 states, and currently work for HCPNV in Nevada where I was instrumental in the redesign of a rural urgent care center that is currently being used as a model for their other urgent care centers. I have held numerous assistent professor positions with 4 Universities, have held postions of assistant director, associate lead provider, and director of PA education.
