At the conclusion of this session, participants should be able to:
- Upon completion participants will understand the various ways that urgent care and occupational and employer paid services can compliment one another.
- Upon completion, participant will be able to define the scope of occupational medicine and employer paid services that are typically offered in an urgent care center.
- Upon completion, participant will understand the difference between regulated Department of Transportation (DOT) and "non-DOT" services.
- Upon completion, participant will understand the potential of increased financial gain by adding occupational services.
- Upon completion, participant will recognize the unique requirements and expectations that employers have from occupational medicine providers and how these service needs differ from individual private patients.
Logan McCall, CEO Guardian Urgent Care
Logan McCall is the Chief Executive Officer of Gurardian Urgent Care Centers located in Denver Colorado market. McCall was formerly Chief Executive Officer of Carolina Quick Care Urgent Care Centers. McCall directed the operations of seven urgent care centers and a separate billing operation in North Carolina until their acquisition by FastMed Urgent Care in November of 2014. Logan worked to increase revenue and develop new markets and profitable strategies for further expansion which included medical real estate development and site selection. McCall began his healthcare experience redeveloping and marketing diagnostic services for a North Carolina hospital system. McCall has been continuously in the urgent care industry since being asked to develop a freestanding center from the ground up in 1994. In 2001 Logan also co-founded and held the role of CEO/COO of a regional diagnostic sleep disorder testing provider operated as Carolina Diagnostics. While the 7th center was under development, the entire operation was acquired by the largest sleep disorder testing provider in the United States. Logan is a frequent speaker on Urgent Care and Occupational Medicine issues at national conferences and is a member of the Communications Committee and the Strategic Development/Corporate Partnerships Committee of the Urgent Care Association of America (UCAOA) and is a member of the National Association of Occupational Health Professionals (NAOHP). Logan has achieved the Board Certified Medical Practice Executive (CMPE) designation in the American College of Medical Practice Executives (ACMPE) and is one of a select number to earn the Urgent Care Management Certificate from the UCAOA. Logan received a BSBA in Marketing from Western Carolina University and an MBA from East Carolina University. Logan is an active leader in the Boy Scouts of America.
