Course Objectives:                    

At the conclusion of this session, participants should be able to:    

  • Apply the skills specific to treating occupational injuries
  • Prepare appropriate injury reports for workers compensation
  • Make appropriate work restriction recommendations to the work place
  • Treat in a way that is condusive to continuing appropriate level of work
  • Arrange for appropriate follow up of work related injuries 

 Faculty Bio:

Karl Auerbach, MD, MS, MBA, FACOEM

Karl Auerbach MD, MS, MBA FACOEM is the National Medical Director of Pulse Occupational Medicine, a TeamHealth company. He is board certified in occupational medicine. He has founded and managed occupational medicine programs. He currently is responsible for medical aspects of the Pulse Occupational Medicine program on both a national level and clinically in Rochester NY. He is experienced in the development and delivery of various occupational health services. He is a recent Past President of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine and continues to serve on the Board of Directors.
