At the conclusion of this session, participants should be able to:
- Define "Lean" methodology and determine how it can be applied to urgent care staffing
- Identify processes and practices that could be improved or eliminated by using Lean principles
- Define value stream mapping and explain its role in identifying key steps in a process or procedure
- Use value stream mapping to address and simplify everyday tasks
- Practice creating a basic value stream map
Jason Call is the director of national accounts in the CompHealth locum tenens division. A problem solver by nature, Jason was an early proponent of CompHealth implementing a formal Lean program. For the past five years, he has been an active participant, facilitator, and champion of Lean events at CompHealth and with many of their clients. Prior to joining CompHealth in 2006, Jason worked in the technology sector as a sales representative, sales trainer, technical trainer, network engineer, and managing consultant.
