Attendees will be provided templates and practical examples of indicators so they return to their organizations armed with the tools to confidently implement a quality driven plan of action. It will also benefit those individuals who intend to pursue UCAOA Center Accreditation based on its foundation of quality, safety and scope.

Faculty Bios:

Laurel Stoimenoff is a founder and Principal of Continuum Health Solutions, LLC, a consulting company focusing on the urgent care and outpatient rehabilitation industries. Continuum’s clients include large hospital systems, private equity, healthcare entrepreneurs, urgent care owners, and outpatient networks. Continuum assists clients with developing their strategies and successfully execute their growth objectives. Client initiatives have included acquisitions, de novo clinic development, turnkey clinics, compliance, policy, lab and ancillary implementation, certification/accreditation and operational support. Prior to establishing Continuum, Laurel served over seven years in executive positions at NextCare Urgent Care (Mesa, AZ), including Executive VP of Development and President & Chief Operating Officer. Prior to NextCare, Laurel served in leadership roles as the Senior VP of Development for Comprehensive Medical Imaging, a subsidiary of Syncor International and the President of MATRIX Rehabilitation (Division of Beverly Enterprises), a physical therapy and urgent care company with over 180 sites across the country. She also held multiple executive positions with NovaCare, Inc., culminating in the position of President, Western Region, Outpatient Division. Laurel Chairs UCAOA's Health & Publc Policy Committee and Co-Chairs the Accreditation Committee, serving as a surveyor for UCAOA's Accreditation & Certification Program. She also served seven years on the UCAOABoard of Directors and is currently a Trustee of the Urgent Care Foundation. Laurel is a graduate of The Ohio State University School of Allied Medical Professions. She maintains an active physical therapy license in the state of Arizona.

Cindi Lang RN, MS is the Chief Operating Officer of DocNow Urgent Care in Rochester Hills and Waterford, MI. Cindi is a Registered Nurse with a Masters Degree in Health Care Administration. Cindi spent 15 years in the acute care setting serving in multiple positions including Manager of Critical Care and the Emergency Room. Moving to the out-patient setting, she served as Director of a large multi-speciality group physician practice. DocNow Urgent Care has been open since August, 2014. It became one of the first privately owned urgent care center to be accredited by The Joint Commission in 2009 and was subsequently accredited by UCAOA in 2014. Cindi has been actively involved in national urgent care associations for the past 15 years and has been a member of UCAOA since its inception. She has been an Officer on the UCAOA Board of Directors, serves as Co-Chair of the Accreditation Committee and also is a member of the Fincance, By-Laws and Benchmarking committees. Cindi lives in Troy, MI, is married and the mother of two sons. She has served on the Board of Directors of the Clawson Community Credit Union, is a past member of the Professional Technical Advisory Committe for The Joint Committee and is Vice President of the UCAOM. She also sits on the Macomb Community College Medical Assistant Advisory Board.
