Join Dr. Lee in this interactive discussion to review the relationships created between Urgent Cares, primary care offices, and retail clinics. Are they viewed as competitors or opportunities? Dr. Lee will use experiences from the group to review various approaches to creating and facilitating these relationships.

David K. Lee, MD, CPC
Dr. David K. Lee is the Chief Medical/Operations Director for OhioHealth Employer Services where he is responsible for operational oversight of five occupational health clinics, 17 on-site clinics and the Associate Health and Wellness program at OhioHealth. He formerly served as the Medical Director for the OhioHealth Urgent Cares – a network of eight urgent care locations within the OhioHealth system serving central Ohio – where he provided operational and medical oversight. He also is the Medical Director and Accountable Executive for OhioHealth’s relationship with the CVS Minute Clinics based in Central Ohio. After earning his Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry – with distinction in all subjects – from Cornell University, Dr. Lee received his doctorate from The Ohio State College of Medicine and Public Health and joined the Riverside Methodist Family Practice Residency Program, where he served as Chief Resident. In addition to his medical practice, Dr. Lee is well versed in business operations and has an applied knowledge of billing, coding, integration and management. In 2006, he served as Chief Operating Officer for Saxby’s Coffee Inc. in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Lee also worked as a Partner of Practice Edge, LLC in Decatur, Georgia where he provided EMR consulting services for medical practices. Dr. Lee is board certified in Family Medicine and is a Certified Professional Coder. He currently serves as Co-Chair of the OhioHealth Primary Care Clinical Guidance Council. Dr. Lee is the recipient of a number of awards and honors recognizing customer service and scholarship. He was recognized as Columbus Business First’s Forty Under Forty in 2014. Dr. Lee also serves on the Board for the Center for Health Families in Columbus Ohio, the Dublin Convention and Visitors Bureau Board as well as the alternate physician delegate for the American Hospital Association Region 5 Policy Board.
