Course Description:

Discover how to assess your practice's strengths and weaknesses on a holistic basis to improve center performance overall. Key concepts are provided for determining an end goal for your practice; developing a long-term strategic plan underpinned by strong operational discipline; building a financial model, allowing you to make better informed business decisions that manage risk long term; and learning the key drivers of culture that allow you to build a positive business culture, helping drive business success. Participants also learn how to assess a capital structure and creditor situation, and engage stakeholders regarding your strategic plan.

Learning Objectives: 

    •Identify an end goal for the practice
    •Identify the importance of creating a written strategy with steps to do so underpinned with strong operational discipline
    •Recognize the need for a financial forecast and how to develop one for use in business decisions to help mitigate risk
    •Identify the drivers of culture and a strong, efficient culture drives business success
    •Evaluate your capital structure and engage stakeholders (creditors, bankers and investors etc.) regarding their strategic plan

Faculty Bio:  Luke Hart

Luke is Co-Founder of Hart Business Consulting, a practice that advises small to mid-size businesses. Luke works with a variety of medical practices on matters including operational reviews, specific operational or financial issues, business culture and leadership problems, turn-around and creditor situations and preparing companies for sale. Previously Luke was CEO of Advantage Urgent Care, a leading urgent care provider in Arizona. Facing bankruptcy, AUC engaged Luke in 2012 to turn around the business and negotiate/execute a sale, which was successfully achieved in 2014.
